17th AsiaPacific Incentive & Meetings Expo
How CSR is affecting today’s business events?
Tuesday, February 03, 2009
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was the term on everyone’s lips in 2008, but does it have the same traction since the global financial crises?  Is it an issue that transcends the current global economic situation? How does CSR make good business sense? And, how is it affecting today’s business events sector?

AIME 09, 17th AsiaPacific Incentive & Meetings Expo, will hold its popular, Business Events Forum again, this year focused on the issue of CSR. Speakers will provide evidence on how the ethical, social and environmental expectations of today’s society are impacting the delivery of events.

The Forum is one of the most popular AIME events as it provides a platform for the industry to talk about the issues that will affect us in the year ahead. Bringing together speakers from Australia and overseas, the forum is a must for everyone attending AIME 09.

This year’s panel includes Stewart Moore, CEO, EC3 Global Pty Ltd; Joyce DiMascio, Head, Business Events Australia, Tourism Australia; and Frank Hubbard, Director, Corporate Responsibility, InterContinental Hotels Group. Elizabeth Rich from the Business Events Council of Australia will moderate the discussion and invite Martin Lewis, Managing Editor of the UK-based CAT Publications, to share his observations.

The AIME Business Events Forum is at 8.30am - 9.45am (prior to the exhibition opening at 10.00am) on Tuesday 17 February in the AIME Theatre, Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
