The AVIAREPS group announces a notable increase in the business field of tourism marketing for its subsidiary coordinating the Benelux countries. Three customers – the Embassy of Egypt (national tourist board), Graubuenden Tourism (Swiss regional tourist board), and Radisson SAS Resorts Aruba & St. Maarten (hotel) - signed a representation agreement. As of March, a co-operation agreement with CheapTickets.nl (online travel agent with aviation specialisation) has also been announced.
Thomas Drechsler, COO of Tourism at AVIAREPS, comments with great pleasure: “Even being the world leader in tourism marketing and airline management, we do not experience such exceptional growth in a single region very often. I am also extremely excited to see the success of AVIAREPS’ tailor-made service spectrum and core competencies, which range from destination representation services and hotel sales and marketing services to PR services for travel trade partners.”
“In our nine years of activity on the Benelux market I can’t recall such an impressive start to a new year. It’s thrilling to welcome yet another number of impressive brands into our portfolio. It is highly motivating for our teams to see that their down-to-earth approach and local expertise are recognised in the market,” adds Harry Betist, Managing Partner at AVIAREPS BrouwerBetist based in Amsterdam.
The Egypt Tourist Office (ETO) contracted AVIAREPS for the handling of all future PR services in the Netherlands. This appointment results from the rising popularity of the country with Dutch travellers: last year the sales figures for Egypt increased by 15 per cent. “Just now when Egypt is appealing more and more to Dutch holidaymakers, we need professional assistance in our purposeful communication to the market,” explains Mohamed Salama, Director for Benelux at the Egypt Tourist Office Brussels.
AVIAREPS will also handle the second client account of Graubuenden Tourism. This Swiss canton contains the biggest holiday region of its country in the Alps and assigned the full-service agency to carry out PR and marketing in the Benelux countries. This region is - beside the UK and Germany - one of the most important markets for Graubuenden due to its enormous guest potential.
The renowned hotel group Radisson SAS with its resorts in Aruba & St. Maarten has opted for professional sales representation in the Netherlands, to be handled by AVIAREPS. And last but not least, as from 1 March 2009 the world’s leading service provider in the aviation and tourism field will also carry out all future PR operations in the Netherlands on behalf of CheapTickets.nl - the biggest Dutch online airline ticket sales brand.
