Fourth LACTTE solidifies event’s position as leading Latin American Business Travel Conference
Added education track offers strategic meetings management insight

The National Business Travel Association (NBTA) and official NBTA global affiliate the Brazilian Business Travel Association (ABGEV) welcomed more than 760 attendees from Brazil, the United States and throughout Latin America to the 4th Annual Latin American Corporate Travel & Technology Exchange (LACTTE) in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Delegates participated in 19 education sessions within five tracks, including the new Strategic Meetings Management track added this year, which offered insights and lessons learned when developing and enhancing meetings strategies.

NBTA President & CEO, Kevin Maguire, CCTE, GLP, said, “In today’s challenging global economy, corporate travel professionals around the world are facing new and greater managed travel challenges, and the Latin American region is no exception. To greater serve the business travel community in this vital region, NBTA and ABGEV once again joined to offer even more resources and networking opportunities than before to help address those challenges and offer solutions.”

In addition to meetings management strategies, discussions at LACTTE were focused on other important travel management issues such as service level agreements, self-booking tools, and data overflow. Corporate travel buyers attended a special buyer-only session on the value of travel management. Attendees also interacted with 14 companies exhibiting in the Trade & Technology Exchange Showcase.

ABGEV President, Vivianne Martins, said, “Once again this event has proven to be the largest and most beneficial corporate travel conference in Latin America. Business travel professionals from across the region who came to learn from industry thought leaders and network with colleagues left with new ideas and innovations for managing travel within their companies.”
