.Travel, the Internet extension specific for the travel and tourism industry, will be a featured exhibitor and sponsor of expotur.travel’s 25th annual exposition which will take place in San Jose, Costa Rica May 13-15, 2009. .Travel aims to maximize the travel and tourism industry’s presence on the Internet through its clear marketing message and significant search engine results. Expotur fully adopted the .travel domain early last year and uses it for all their marketing efforts and promotional materials.
Expotur’s special relationship with .travel has significantly contributed to the domain's success, turning it into the Internet extension for the travel and tourism industry. “Expotur is just another great example of .travel being adopted by key industry players,” said Edward A. Cespedes, CEO of .travel. “We are proud to be a part of Expotur and the continued growth of travel and tourism in Central America.”
Featuring over 260 travel companies, Expotur is the largest travel and tourism exposition in Central America. Expotur is organized by the Costa Rican Association of Professionals in Tourism (ACOPROT), a strategic partner of .travel. Expotur director, Tania D’Ambrosio said, “We are pleased to reach the 25th anniversary of Expotur and to be able to partner with .travel. Adopting Expotur.travel is a wonderful way to celebrate our 25 years as tourism industry leaders and further ensure our success in the digital space.”
Expotur.travel has been the travel mart of Costa Rica and Central America since the event first took place in 1985. Expotur has been the promoting products and services of the Central and South American travel and tourism industry for the past 24 years. Many .travel owners such as ElSalvador.travel are expected to attend the event this year. Expotur comes complete with several pre-circuit workshops and social events to promote even more interaction within the travel community.
