QHotels’ Telford Hotel & Golf Resort has unveiled Darby House - a brand new venue sitting within the 170 acre grounds of the property. Darby House, a seventeenth century manor house in the grounds of the Shropshire hotel, provides business visitors with a standalone venue suitable for launches, presentations, incentive trips and events for £149 per delegate, as well as the quality and service that the QHotels brand is renowned for.
The historic home of
Abraham Darby III, the man credited with starting the Industrial Revolution when he smelted coke for the first time at nearby Ironbridge, Darby House will offer a stylish wood-paneled meeting space, the Morning Room, suitable for 10 delegates, state of the art technology, an inspiring food offering and nine bespoke bedrooms with views over Ironbridge Gorge and the golf course at the Telford property.
Part of the recent £10million refurbishment at Telford Hotel & Golf Resort, Darby House offers an addition to the seven conference and meeting rooms, 105 guest bedrooms and extensive spa facilities available in the main hotel, just in time to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the Industrial Revolution this year.
Paul Hutton, Director of Sales at the Telford property commented
“Darby House is a self contained business product which will offer a new range of possibilities for our business guests. Those using Darby House will benefit from undisturbed use of the venue, as well as the quality of service, expertise and range of facilities offered within the main hotel area”.
“Part of our longer term strategy to develop our facilities and remain the top choice for meetings and events in Telford, we are thrilled to be opening this new venue and are excited about the possibilities this space will provide our clients” added Paul.
