Air Miles has seen a marked increase in online redemptions of its multi-participant loyalty programme so far this year as more members are discovering the ease with which they can exchange their Miles for a wide variety of shopping vouchers, holidays, electronic goods and much more.

Dave Battiston, CEO of Air Miles says this trend is gaining further momentum following the launch of two new promotions that are offering rewards at 10 per cent below all published figures when members redeem online.

“By simply logging onto the Air Miles website - www.airmilesme.com - members can enjoy the benefits of this promotion by redeeming their Miles for thousands of rewards; and by saving 10 per cent on every single redemption, they are finding their Miles go even further,” says Battiston. “This offer even applies to the special top value ‘star products’ which are already knocking around 40 per cent off the price; so now members can get another 10 per cent off these special deals simply by redeeming online.”

Also effective now is the in-store promotion where members can enjoy 10 per cent off all instant redemptions in-store at Lamcy Plaza, Damas, Pan Emirates, Emax and Abela - all in the UAE - and the Family Food Centre in Qatar.

Battiston says he is delighted with the phenomenal response to these new promotions. “We have seen a dramatic increase in the number of members enjoying the benefits of rewarding themselves for their everyday shopping. Online redemptions in particular have already reached an all time high this month, demonstrating that our members are extremely savvy when it comes to getting great value, especially during these challenging times.

continues Battiston, “but our partner stores too, who are finding that our loyalty scheme is paying dividends in terms of retaining existing customers. This is a perfect win-win situation for retailers and customers alike,” he says.

Battiston adds that people are fast discovering that by using their Air Miles Card when they shop at participating outlets, they can treat themselves, their family and their friends, whilst continuing to save money.

Instant redemption was introduced by Air Miles earlier this year to make it even easier and more convenient for members to enjoy their rewards. They can now simply show their Air Miles Card in store to trade their Miles for shopping vouchers and instantly get money off their shopping, there and then. 

Air Miles has also begun rewarding its top spending customers more than ever before by exclusively offering anyone with over 250,000 Air Miles the chance to redeem the value of their Miles against absolutely anything they would like. They simply have to contact the call centre and say what they would like to spend them against and Air Miles will then arrange it for them.
