‘Phoenix Miles’ card members enjoy club floor room upgrade
Carlson Hotels Worldwide strengthens partneship with Air China
Tuesday, April 21, 2009
Carlson Hotels Worldwide, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has strengthened its partnership with Air China, the country’s commercial flag carrier, by offering its Phoenix Miles members a club floor room upgrade when staying at any of the group’s managed properties in China. This offer is valid for applicable room rates eligible for mileage accrual at Regent Hotels & Resorts, Radisson Hotels & Resorts and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts - the Carlson hotel brands currently operating in China. The agreement between Carlson and Air China was announced at a gala event held at The Regent Beijing, the luxury 500-room hotel in the heart of the city’s prestigious Jinbao street.

Carlson currently has eight hotels in operation in key gateway cities throughout China, with plans to open another nine properties by 2012, including the Radisson Plaza Hotel Tianjin which opens this month.

Air China has flights to 70 domestic cities in China, and Phoenix Miles members can receive a club floor room upgrade by presenting their membership card at check in, at any Carlson managed property in China. This promotion is valid from 16 April to 15 June 2009.

“Our partnership with Air China is a reflection of our commitment to this important and fast growing market. We will continue to seek strong relationships with major players across Asia Pacific ensuring that our hotels have expanded marketing opportunities that in turn benefit guests,” said Frank Trampert, executive vice president, Revenue Generation - Asia Pacific, Carlson Hotels Worldwide.

“The complimentary upgrade to a club floor room grants Phoenix Miles members an added incentive to stay at Carlson managed properties, as more and more leisure and corporate travellers seek value added hotel offers.”

Carlson Hotels Worldwide currently has partnerships with more than 20 airlines internationally for airline mileage points. Globally, Carlson Hotels Worldwide has properties in more than 1,000 locations in 74 countries.
