Three new offices in Beijing, Sydney and Dubai in 2008
AVIAREPS boosts market-leadership position in the Asia-Pacific region
Tuesday, May 12, 2009
The global leader in tourism and airline representation continues its rapid growth in the Asia-Pacific region: two years after its first investment in renowned tourism, public relations and marketing consultancy Marketing Garden Ltd., AVIAREPS has expanded its operations substantially. In order to further enlarge its global tourism and marketing network, AVIAREPS had entered the Asia-Pacific market through investments in Marketing Garden Ltd. in April 2007 to create AVIAREPS Marketing Garden.

At the time of the merger, Marketing Garden was already operating from wholly-owned offices in Shanghai (China), Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea) and Taipei (Taiwan). Meanwhile, three new offices in Beijing (China), Sydney (Australia) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates - U.A.E.) have been opened, and a joint-venture office in India (Mumbai) has been formalized.

Currently, AVIAREPS acts on behalf of 35 renowned customers in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2008, the world’s leading airline and tourism marketing company was appointed for the representation of renowned tourism authorities such as Alaska, California and Saipan/Tinian/Rota (Korea), Monaco and London (Japan), Florida (China), New York City (Australia & India) as well as Indonesia (Australia).

So far in 2009, five additional new tourism customers appointed AVIAREPS to handle all public relations and marketing activities including Chicago and Illinois Tourism (China), the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Mandarin Oriental Hotels (U.A.E.), Disney Destinations (India) and Octopus Travel (Japan). In addition, the Asia-Pacific offices have taken on major new airline and airport clients including Munich Airport, Hannover Airport, Air Baltic and Aeromexico among others.

“The Asia-Pacific region is a key market for AVIAREPS. Our offices in these countries are crucial for us, as many of our clients demand services in the region. The positive development of our efforts within a short period of time indicates that our decision to partner with and invest in Marketing Garden Ltd. was the right one,” states Thomas Drechsler, COO Tourism at AVIAREPS.
