Conceived by the famous designer Francois Champsaur
Rezidor opens the Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan Hotel, Paris Eiffel
Thursday, May 14, 2009
Located just a short walk from the Trocadero and opposite the Eiffel Tower, the Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan Hotel is Paris’s newest luxury boutique hotel. Conceived by the famous designer Francois Champsaur, the property combines a firmly contemporary decor with magnificent views of the Eiffel Tower - one of the capital’s finest monuments. Offering visitors a treasure trove of sensations, this new hotel is quickly becoming the essential place to stay in Paris for those who wish to immerse themselves in sensuous luxury.

This new epitome of Parisian luxury is ensconced within a former 19th century private residence and endowed with Haussmanian-style charm. Conscious of its clients’ keen requirements, the Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan offers its guests the highest level of comfort and facilities in a refined setting. “The Metropolitan is the Parisian pied-a-terre for a discreet and stylish clientele, providing intimate surroundings and satisfying those who expect prompt and unobtrusive service”, highlights Alexandre Fougerole, General Manager of the hotel.

With the Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan, Francois Champsaur takes you on an architectural journey which revolves around several strong ideas: the notion of evolution, a contemplation of contrasting materials, a play on relationships of scale, and spaces brought to life by the colour blue.

The visual calm which distinguishes the soft colours and precious materials inside the 48 suites and rooms conveys a feeling of mellowness and serenity. Each space combines the stylistic rigour of an urban hotel with the exacting standards typical of a luxury residence, a contrast perfectly resolved by Francois Champsaur. Despite the apparent simplicity of its surroundings, the hotel exudes a luxurious sophistication which is visible in even the smallest details.

Five 40 m² suites offer an unrestricted view of the Eiffel Tower. Each is a wonderful treat, particularly the “Eiffel” suite which, as well as having one of the most beautiful views in Paris, benefits from private access to the Swimming Pool and Hammam area situated in the basement.

The 10 suites and 38 rooms will provide the hotel’s clients with:
- Bathrooms in Zimbabwean granite with Anne Semonin products,
- Free and unlimited WiFi Internet access,
- 40” LCD widescreen televisions with video on demand,
- A safe which is able to house a laptop computer,
- An alarm radio with iPod dock,
- A Nespresso coffee machine.
