Brasov airport could be opened until 2012

Ioan Toma, manager of the subsidiary for Bucharest of Intelcan Techosystems, winner of the auction to design, develop and operate the new airport in Brasov, stated that the airport will be developed within 2 years and a half from starting works, in the beginning of 2012 if the company gets all necessary approvals this year.

The necessary investment is estimated at EUR 100 mil. Deputies approved the decision to transfer a land of 200 ha owned by the National Institute of Research Development for Potato and Sugar Beet in Brasov to the County Council administration, in order to develop the airport.
