Report - Frankfurt - IMEX 2009: Meeting Professionals International (MPI) at IMEX has announced the launch of a European one stop career resource for meeting and event professionals – MPI Career Connections. The initiative was launched in the US last month as part of the organisation’s MPI Cares Programme.

To meet the challenging business environment, the resource, located on the MPI website provides international business professionals with a single source environment for both the company looking to fill positions and the job seeker looking for a resource to find their next position.

The service is free to all organizations and professionals looking to post jobs and resumes. MPI members do have an advantage as they will get exclusive access to new jobs postings for the first 15 days. After that time period, job positions are open to non-MPI members if they are still open.

Commenting on the revised MPI Career Connections web-based environment, Didier Scaillet MPI’s Chief Development Officer said: “This initiative provides our global community of over 24,000 members a highly specialised career support centre.

“With an ever growing European membership, this service eliminates the clutter of other online career sites and provides an advanced technology that produces beneficial connections between our employers and job seekers. Coupled with many other tools for career management, MPI’s Career Connections provides the essential resource that our member community and industry needs as it continues the path to economic recovery and professional advancement.”
