Tuesday, June 09, 2009
Lime Venue Portfolio has become the latest organisation to sign up to the 2012 UK Events Industry Fair Pricing & Practise Charter, created by tourism bodies Visit London and VisitBritain.

This commitment will see one of the largest collective of venues operating in the meetings and events market pledge its commitment to sustain business value surrounding the Games and become more accessible to Olympic event planners.

Louise Amphlett, Head of Lime Venue Portfolio commented; “The arrival of the Olympic Games to London presents a huge opportunity for the whole of the UK events industry. It is not just our venues in London that have committed to the charter, venues from all across the country have also signed up recognising that they can be a part of creating a lasting legacy for the country.”

Tracy Halliwell, Director of Business Tourism at Visit London commented; "We are delighted that Lime Venue Portfolio has signed up to the charter. With over 160 companies already signed up to the charter we are aware that this is a key document to showcase to incoming businesses that London and the UK is both fair and outstanding in its events offer."

Lime Venue Portfolio, part of the Compass Group, now boasts over 100 specialist venues, including Twickenham, The O2 and The Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
