Korean Air launched an ambient marketing campaign in London to boost its UK sales this summer
Major taxi advertising campaign for London
Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Korean Air’s latest London taxi advertising blitz will run until 23 August. Thirty ‘full liveried’ London taxis and a further two hundred ‘super-sided’ London taxis will be emblazoned with Korean Air’s striking “Network Feather” ad image, showing ten cities easily reached by UK passengers flying with Korean Air via Seoul’s Incheon International Airport.

The eye-catching cabs will circulate around the city promoting the airline’s world class service from London Heathrow to Seoul Incheon, operated daily with a three class Boeing 747-400, and beyond to 72 destinations in Asia and Australasia, including popular destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Hawaii, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Mongolia and many other cities across China and Southeast Asia. Jeong Soo Park, General Manager of Korean Air’s London regional office, commented, “This year’s UK taxi advertising campaign, symbolised by our “Network Feather”, promotes Korean Air’s growing international network. By launching diversified marketing campaigns, Korean Air will continue to show its dedication to serving the UK market".

Celebrating the launch of the taxi advertising, Korean Air will hold a special online promotion, the “Korean Air Taxi Photo Contest”. Customers who take pictures of the Korean Air taxis on the streets of London, and upload them on to Korean Air’s website www.koreanair.com, will have the chance to win one of a range of special gifts. The contest runs from 01 June to 31 July.
