Aviation expert David Jarach to give keynote at ACTE global education conference in Prague
Friday, June 12, 2009
The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) announced today that renowned aviation expert Professor David Jarach will be interviewed by Business Travel News contributing editor Amon Cohen on the general session stage at its Global Education Conference in Prague (25-27 October 2009). The keynote session - The European Transportation Landscape - Five Years into the Future - will take place on Tuesday, 27 October at 16:00.

Jarach will respond to hard-hitting questions and project his outlook for the future transportation landscape in Europe and beyond. Acknowledging forces such as airline consolidation, transportation infrastructure funding, and sustainability, Jarach will describe how business travelers will travel during the next decade and quantify the impact these developments will have on end-to-end travel costs for travel management programmes. Jarach will also examine the future relationship between rail and air, and whether profitability can be sustained in both sectors.

““Europe is unmatched as a region in the complexity and multiplicity of factors affecting the future transportation grid,” Kate Farrell, ACTE Senior Director, Global Education, said. “Understanding the scenarios that stand the greatest chance of success will help managed business travel determine how to adapt strategies for the future.”

David Jarach is recognized as one of the world’s leading authorities in the field of air transportation. He is Professor of Marketing at Bocconi University, Milan, and SDA Bocconi School of Business and Chairman and Managing Partner of diciottofebbraio, a Milan-based all-aviation management consulting company.

Amon Cohen, a specialist business travel writer who resides in London, is contributing editor to Business Travel News, the US journal for travel managers. He writes for numerous other publications, including Supply Management, as well as penning a regular column for Buying Business Travel.
