Friday, June 19, 2009
The Association of National Tourist Offices & Representatives (ANTOR) is to launch a consumer awareness campaign to highlight the work of its members. The Association, which is also putting its full support behind ABTA’s lobby against Air Passenger Duty, will embark on the campaign in the autumn.

Commenting on the initiative, Tracey Poggio, Association Chairman representing the Gibraltar Tourist Board said: “There has never been a greater time for the public to understand the full service offering of a representative tourist board. Our members are the most experienced personnel in dealing with crisis management issues that may relate to their country should they occur. We are also well placed to know all of the full options of travel mode, accommodation, dining and exploring to our regions. A true one-stop-shop for any would be traveller.”

The campaign will initially be PR driven by the Board who will also enlist the support of its 65 members at public and consumer events to leaflet drop and pass on information.
