Just 37 minutes from central London
QHotels Ashford International Hotel moves closer to London
Friday, June 26, 2009
QHotels’ Ashford International Hotel is now just 37 minutes from central London following the opening of the new South Eastern bullet train preview service this month. The UK’s first ever high speed train line will travel at 140 miles per hour and take just 2,220 seconds to travel from Ashford International to St Pancras International - making the QHotels property in Kent the ideal location for meetings, conferences and events within close proximity to the capital.

Business guests will be able to relax in the “Garden of England” venue which boasts 19 versatile conference and banqueting rooms able to accommodate 1,000 delegates, 179 spacious bedrooms and a comprehensive health suite. In addition to this, delegates will be just minutes away from central London.

The new bullet train service will add to the hotel’s already excellent transport links, including fast links to Europe via the Eurostar.

Deirdre Billing, General Manager of the Ashford International Hotel commented: “The Ashford International Hotel truly is the gateway to Europe and now London following the launch of this new service. We have always been proud to offer our guests not only the best facilities and service, but also access to the best transport links in the area”.

“We are excited by the possibilities the new bullet train service will provide, and are hopeful that is will bring a new set of potential clients from London, looking to experience all that Kent has to offer at our highly competitive prices” she added.

The service will run on High Speed 1 between Ashford International, Ebbsfleet International and St Pancras International and will become fully operational on 13 December 2009. The preview service runs three morning peak services from Ashford International to St Pancras International and three peak services in the evening from 29 June.
