Le Chateau de la Messardiere in Saint Tropez is implementing Check Safety First’s E-Cristal hygiene and health and safety risk management system, to support the hotel’s rigorous quality processes. This contract win will be the first French hotel for the independent safety experts.

The hotel will be using E-Cristal's full functionality to standardise, improve and support existing standards of health and safety in the hotel. The range of services provided will include general safety, swimming pool safety, Legionella control, fire safety, as well as the central food hygiene product. Le Chateau de la Messardiere already works with a local food safety specialist in France, but this new implementation will provide the hotel with a more rounded overview of standards.

“We have spent many years building up the reputation of the hotel to what it is today and I understand how quickly this can be tarnished by not having adequate health and safety processes in place,” explains Alexandre Durand-Viel, resident manager at Le Chateau de la Messardiere. “The hotel already has impeccable standards, but the E-Cristal solution provides us with a way of double checking these and ensuring that our guests and staff are protected at all times during their stay.”

Le Chateau de la Messardiere comprises of 75 rooms and 45 suites and is part of the Leading Hotel of the World. Prices start from 500 euros per night in peak season. Once the hotel has successfully demonstrated and maintained a high standard of health and safety it will be listed on the consumer website www.checksafetyfirst.com.
