Wizz Air opens new routes from Budapest and Sofia

Wizz Air, the largest low fare - low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe announced that it would launch new routes from Budapest to Dusseldorf (Weeze) three times a week and from Sofia to Eindhoven twice weekly starting from 21 September and 25 October 2009, respectively. Also, the airline will continue to operate the Varna - London Luton service all year round. The flights are already on sale on wizzair.com or through the Wizz Air call centers.

The Budapest - Dusseldorf (Weeze) and Sofia - Eindhoven flights are the 40th and 41st new routes launched by Wizz Air in 2009. Wizz Air's fleet is currently consisting of 26 Airbus A320 aircraft operating from 11 bases in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. The airline carried 6.5 million passengers in the past 12 months.
