Augustin Baciu businessman, owner of AB Onix Hotel, managing Onix Hotel in Cluj Napoca, 4 star classified and Turism Ariesul SA company, announced investing approximately 15 million euros in turning Onix Hotel into a 5 star hotel starting next year.

The businessman stated a part of the necessary investment will be obtained by selling the shares owned at Turism Ariesul. Baciu is the major shareholder of SC Turism Ariesul SA company, owning 84% of the shares. The company also owns Alpin hotel in Muntele Baisorii, Cheile Turzii Chalet, Ariesul treatment center in Turda and Stejeris hotel, 3 star classified, located on the national road between Cluj and Alba-Iulia.

Baciu is also the owner of 51.15% of Salina Turda SA shares. The businessman plans to drop businesses in Turda area and focus on investments in Cluj.

In the first semester of the year, Onix Hotel registered an average occupancy rate of 33%, declining 60% compared to the similar period last year.
