Vueling Airlines flight experienced a controlled evacuation

Vueling Airlines informs that its flight VY9127 Paris Orly - Alicante has experienced a controlled evacuation yesterday morning. The controlled evacuation has been carried out via the use of the evacuation ramps and has taken place at 10h36 (local time) at Paris-Orly’s Terminal South.

The evacuation happened after the aircraft’s right engine experienced a small fire, while still close to the terminal, during the push-back phase.

All 165 passengers and crew have been safely evacuated, with 8 of them having resulted with minor injuries. All the passengers’ personal belongings have been removed and have been secured. Vueling has sent a replacement aircraft and crew in order to transport them to Alicante. The flight left Paris-Orly at 15:00, local time, and landed in Alicante at 17:00, local time.
