2shop4, the mobile service and e-commerce shopping system, has agreed a partnership with web-based airline flyglobespan to introduce 2shop4 retail and entertainment technology onboard their aircraft.

With 2shop4 and flyglobespan the retail evolution continues, as the 2shop4 shopping system offers flyglobespan passengers the opportunity to make purchases whilst in-flight whether for those must-have, impulse buys to life's necessities. Delivered directly to the home, or anywhere requested, this in-flight shopping service is now simply an in-flight click away.

The partnership provides a technology solution that enables flyglobespan to offer their passengers the opportunity to shop via a hand-held PC during flights. The 2shop4 hand-held PC will also provide quality in-flight entertainment packages including movies, games, TV, music, digital books and magazines. flyglobespan passengers will be able to enjoy this innovative service from Q4 2009 on their Boeing 737 aircraft to various destinations out of three main airports, London Gatwick, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The partnership presents flyglobespan passengers with opportunities to enjoy and engage with some of the most forward thinking names in retail and will allow them to shop and buy from their favourite brands, shops and retailers, while taking time out to explore and browse across an extensive range of high profile names. From the latest blockbusters, to the newest games and offering the potential to catch up with the latest fashion styling and gossip from selected digital versions of the best-selling magazines, the 2shop4 enabled service will introduce a whole new level of engagement for flyglobespan’s passengers.

The 2shop4 hand-held PCs will be available for use on a selected number of flyglobespan flights and the passengers will be able to use them at a nominal charge.
