QHotels is delighted to announce the appointment of industry Stalwart,
David Kanarens as the new General Manager of
The Queens, the iconic city centre property in Leeds.
David returns to Leeds to take over the helm of The Queens following a number of high profile General Manager positions, including seven years at the Crowne Plaza Nottingham and three years at the QHotels Nottingham Belfry.
David will oversee the four star 217 bedroomed property, its 16 conference and banqueting rooms as well as the award winning restaurant, all of which have recently undergone a £10million refurbishment to restore its eight floors of traditional Art Deco glory to that of its 1930s heyday.
David Kanarens comments:
“I am thrilled with my move to QHotels’ elegant landmark hotel. It is a real pleasure to become General Manager at this outstanding Leeds hotel, which has such a rich heritage and longstanding reputation in the area – as well as a warm and professional long serving team. I look forward to returning to city centre life and have a number of exciting plans for the speciality conferencing and banqueting hotel, which will emphasis its uniqueness, character and charm”.
Vivien Sirotkin, Director of Operations at QHotels added:
“David’s experience in Leeds and other key cities coupled with his thorough knowledge of the QHotels one of a kind brand make him an ideal choice to lead The Queens. We are confident that he will bring his vast knowledge and experience to the hotel and become as synonymous with The Queens as the hotel is with grandeur”.
As charmed by The Queens as he is, David is also enchanted by the arrival of his new daughter, which sees him playing dad 24 hours a day. Having recently returned from touring France’s finest vineyards, David is looking forward to exploring the extensive wine list at The Queens.
