Harrah’s is betting on increasing international in-bound travel to its Las Vegas resort-hotels through a new alliance with Discover the World Marketing. Discover the World Marketing will provide hotel marketing/sales representation throughout its global network including Discover the World Marketing-Greece for Harrah’s seven Las Vegas properties - Bally’s, Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Imperial Palace, Paris, and Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino - each offering a variety of experiences, entertainment and amenities at the center of the popular Las Vegas resort corridor.
This new alliance is designed to supplement varied hotel distribution channels, including tour companies, travel agents, incentive trip planners, meetings and conventions specialists and individual guests who directly book reservations at any of the seven Harrah’s Entertainment Las Vegas resorts.
“Discover’s ties and roots to Las Vegas go back to our inception when our original founders created the concept of travel outsourcing,” said Jenny Adams, CEO of Discover the World Marketing. “Beginning with our first client, a hotel based in Las Vegas, we have sold inbound international traffic to Las Vegas for more than 27 years.”
“Over the years, Harrah’s has built a good relationship with the Greek tour operators, travel agencies and the group and incentive market,” said Dino Frantzeskakis Country Director Greece for Discover the World Marketing. “Discover intends to take the Greek sales coverage to another level. Besides using all the trade channels of distribution, we will also drive consumer and trade to Las Vegas via Harrahs.com.”
“This is a perfect match because Harrah’s audience is global and Discover is the company that can showcase their properties to the world,” added Frantzeskakis. “Overnight we will begin selling Harrah’s properties in Greece as well as 53 other countries (except US) via our unique global network of offices. Besides using all the trade channels of distribution, we will also drive consumer and trade to Las Vegas via Harrahs.com.”
According to Annette Weishaar, Vice President - Leisure Sales for Harrah’s in Las Vegas, “This new business relationship demonstrates Harrah’s strong commitment to our international guests and hospitality industry partners, making it easer than ever for them to enjoy experiences ranging from world-class entertainers, lavish swimming pools and relaxing spas to top-ranked restaurants, trendy nightspots and internationally renowned shopping, conveniently available to guests at seven hotel-resorts clustered at the city’s most desirable location.”
Established in 1992, Discover the World Marketing in Greece also represents Aeromexico, Air Malta, Air New Zealand, bmi, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, SH&E Aviation consultants, South African Airways, Virgin Atlantic Airways & IATA/IBCS. Discover the World Marketing, which is headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., has more than 27 years of experience operating a unique and truly global network consisting of 83 offices in 55 countries. Regardless of size, Discover offers simple, manageable and effective solutions to fit any company’s needs and budget.
