Allstate S.H.O.P. gives inexpensive way to extend valuable medical coverage to staff
Vacation.com adds new health insurance benefit
Thursday, September 03, 2009
Vacation.com has added Allstate Insurance’s Supplemental Health Options Plan (S.H.O.P.) to the wide range of discounted business services and supplies member agents can obtain through Preferred Supplier Business AdvantEdge.

Allstate’s S.H.O.P. insurance is a value-priced medical coverage option that pays a benefit even if the member agent already has medical insurance. Features include: all benefits paid directly to agent (no EOBs/COBs); no blood tests/medical exams required; portability, even after changing jobs; first day coverage for accident and sickness; and financial protection for agent and family against high deductible medical plans or the loss of medical insurance.

“We recognize that it’s growing more and more difficult for our members to provide comprehensive health coverage to their employees,” said Stephen McGillivray, Vacation.com’s vice president of Marketing and Public Relations. “S.H.O.P. is a great, inexpensive option to extend their basic coverage and provide more comprehensive protection.”

Allstate S.H.O.P. is available to Vacation.com members through its Business AdvantEdge program, which offers substantial discounts on office equipment and supplies, communication services, printing, payment services and more.

Member agencies can access discounts from a wide variety of companies they use everyday, including shipping with Fed-Ex and UPS, office equipment and computers from Hewlett-Packard, payroll processing with ADP, supplies and furniture from Office Depot, mobile phones from T-Mobile and TravelCell, hotel and destination information from STAR Service Online and Weissmann Reports, and more.
