Cyprus Airways opted for a licensed model of the solution
Cyprus Airways goes live with Mercator’s CRIS
Tuesday, September 08, 2009
Mercator’s loyalty and customer relationship management solution, CRIS (Customer Relationship Information System), has now been fully implemented at Cyprus Airways, the national carrier of Cyprus.

The airline selected CRIS for its ability to provide an integrated loyalty management solution that would support both their individual membership programme, SunMiles, and also their Executive Club programme SunJet. Cyprus Airways opted for a licensed model of the solution which has been deployed on their own premises. CRIS will be the platform for both Frequent Flier Programme management as well as Customer Relationship Management.

Duncan Alexander, Vice President Sales and Market Development, Mercator said: "Cyprus now joins our expanding customer base for loyalty and CRM solutions. Customer communication has never been more important with an increasingly competitive market combined with a decline in demand. The ability to identify and retain loyal customers and build intimacy with them is crucial and Cyprus Airways can now enjoy these benefits. My congratulations to the entire team involved in this smooth and successful transition.”

CRIS, developed and evolved by Mercator in Dubai, has been designed to effectively manage customer relationship and frequent flier programmes with a single integrated system.  The solution is already managing millions of frequent flier accounts in customer airlines around the world, adding value to both customer service and commercial success.

Philippos Philippou, Manager Marketing Services, Cyprus Airways, said: “Mercator’s CRIS frequent flyer and CRM solutions offer a wide range of functionalities tailored to our business. It has an extensive customer relationship module, which will enable us to offer an upgraded and enhanced service to our valued customers in recognition of their loyalty and support. We are confident our members will enjoy the benefits of the upgraded service and the privileges of SunMiles and SunJet programmes.”

Cyprus Airways is owned by the Cyprus Government, (major stakeholder), and private investors. From its Cyprus hub, the airline operates to over 30 destinations in Europe and the Middle East.
