The Lufthansa mobile portal is now attired in a new design with a variety of additional functions. In its new modern look, the lufthansa.com portal offers customers faster handling of the process and optimized user guidance, adapted to the new generation of mobile end-devices. Special operating elements have been developed for iPhones, which appreciable simplify the use of mobile services.
New search options make flight bookings with a mobile phone much easier. Flights are sorted according to best price, flight departure times or flight duration. The respective flight options are put together for easier viewing. The timetable now includes a scrolling function allowing users to browse or call up flights on a day earlier or a day later. During check-in with a cell phone, passengers can also key in DOC-Check details like nationality or type and validity of their travel documents, enabling them to use their mobile boarding pass also for flights to non-Schengen destinations like Great Britain as long as no APIS data is required. Should passengers inadvertently delete their mobile boarding pass, they can immediately request a copy by simply re-starting the check-in process with their mobile phone at lufthansa.com. Also newly available is an FAQ catalogue with answers to passenger queries about mobile services.
Users of Internet-enabled cell phones have been able to book flights, check in, reserve a seat and view flight status and schedules on the Lufthansa mobile online portal. Miles & More members can also check their mileage accounts.
