Ambuja Realty has joined hands with Swissotel, Swiss hospitality chain, for its upcoming five-star business hotel at Rajarhat in West Bengal. The 10-year management contract has been signed between the Bengal Ambuja Housing Development and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, owned by Fairmont Raffles Hotels International.

The hotel project is likely to be built in an area of 1.6 lakh sq ft. The proposed hotel estimated to cost Rs 100 crore is likely to be ready by January 2010. The 147-keys hotel is expected to be put up on the top of its shopping mall City Centre coming up in the New Town area. The signing of the management contract marks the entry of Swissotel in India which has the experience of running hotels located atop shopping malls. Ltd.
