Air lifting 7 Helicopters between Europe and Asia
Western Aviation successfully completes a mammoth cargo charter flight
Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Western Aviation, Dubai based Aircraft Charter Company has recently completed a huge cargo charter flight by air lifting 7 Helicopters between Europe and Asia. The operation started when a long term client approached the company to assist in air lifting 3 helicopters from Europe to Asia. Right after receipt of the enquiry the charter flight department swung into action and found out a monster Antonov An-124 aircraft to airlift such huge and outsized cargo.

The operation got trickier when it came out later on that the airport from where the departure was initially planned has been closed for maintenance work. As soon as this information was confirmed an alternative option was proposed to the client and it was agreed.

Following three months of intense follow up this operation was reaching its climax a twist in the tale happens as the client requests to bring back 4 helicopters from Asia back to Europe. As usual the charter flight department was ready for the challenge and after a perfect team work and co-ordination between the company, carrier, client, handling agents and civil aviation authorities; flight permits for the return flight were obtained on time in spite of the very short notice.

After successful operation of the first sector from Europe to Asia a final test was inline when it came to the attention at the last moment that the flight from Asia back to Europe cannot land at the desired airport due to bad weather and it has to be diverted to another nearest alternative airport. The moment this information was obtained the charter department alerted the concerned parties at the receiving airport about the alternate plans and finally the cargo was delivered to the desired airport when the weather eased out a few hours later.

Throughout the operation Western Aviation’s charter flight department stayed alert and this mammoth operation was completed with at most perfection. “Standing up to these types of challenges and converting every difficult opportunity into a successful operation is what makes the Western Group stand out among the crowd” says Mr. Kamal, GM of Western Group.

“Western Aviation’s core business is offering Private Jet Charter flight services to VIP clients however over the period of time we have diversified our charter flight services from Private jets to cargo aircrafts, air ambulance and commercial aircraft charter making us one of the best charter flight companies of the region” comments Mr. Fairoz, AGM, Western Group.
