Thursday, September 17, 2009
Jonathan Wigley, CEO of Absolute Hotel Services Co. Ltd. (AHS) announces two new regional offices in India and Vietnam, thereby further strengthening its ability to provide high quality hospitality consultancy and management services to developers and investors on the ground. The India based regional office in Mumbai will cover India, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The Vietnam based regional office in Ho Chi Minh City will cover Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The opening of the two regional offices further reinforces the existing business pipeline and execution of future opportunities. Absolute Hotel Services India and Vietnam will commence operations in the first quarter of 2010.

As the global economic recovery gains traction in Asia, India and Indochina have demonstrated significant growth in development of hotels and resorts due to a limited supply as well as a strong domestic and regional demand which is fueled by more cost effective travel. AHS group provides feasibility studies, asset management, brand solicitation/negotiation, master planning consultancy, pre-opening consultancy, brand creation and standard operating procedure creation as well as branded and unbranded management services.

The new regional offices represent an integral part of our expansions of U Hotels & Resorts Brand as well as Eastin Hotels & Residences and will allow Absolute Hotel Services (AHS) to operate more effectively and efficiently within key territories with local resources who have in-depth knowledge of the market.  Each office will include a regional director together with sales and marketing, human resources, finance and operations/technical services resources backed up with the support from Absolute Hotel Services Corporate office in Thailand.

With the recent announcement of the first property in India as well as concluded projects in Vietnam, the current firm business pipeline in both regions exceeds 25 hotels, resorts and serviced residences.

“As an important reinforcement to our current operations in Thailand, Vietnam and India, the new offices will enable us to better integrate and utilize our resources and will allow us to dedicate specific resources to servicing clients who have requirements focused within each destination. It will also facilitate the further expansion of our capabilities in the hospitality industry. By leveraging our comprehensive portfolio of services and in-depth market knowledge, we will be in a position to offer an enhanced level of service to our current and future clients,” said Jonathan Wigley, CEO of Absolute Hotel Services Co. Ltd.
