Enhanced Internet booking engine
Warwick International Hotels renews contract with Utell
Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Warwick International Hotels has upgraded to Pegasus Solutions’ NetBooker NG Internet booking engine to drive online bookings directly to 27 of the company’s international collection of more than 40 hotels and resorts. The move makes Warwick the first Utell Hotels & Resorts member chain to implement NetBooker NG, one component of Pegasus’ new state-of-the-art RezView NG central reservation system (CRS) platform.

G. Paul LeBlanc, vice president of marketing and sales for Warwick said: “With many consumers now bypassing OTAs (online travel agencies), the value of a sophisticated hotel web site booking engine like Pegasus’ NetBooker NG is fundamental in our marketing and growth strategy, and another key motivation in working with Utell. Today’s web-savvy travel shopper has high expectations of their booking experience on a hotel’s site, and that’s why we’ve upgraded to NetBooker NG, the best option on the market. With new functionality flawlessly incorporated into the Warwick web site, NetBooker NG allows us to offer the ultimate reservations experience, with options such as room upgrades and eConcierge services available during booking.”

Building on its 15-year relationship with Utell, Warwick has also renewed its contract with Utell for private label GDS representation under the ‘WK’ code as well as private label Utell voice services. Additionally, Warwick has renewed its contract for Pegasus’ agent-preferred Global Commission Processing, which Warwick originally implemented in August 2008.

“Like NetBooker, Utell representation is powered by Pegasus technology and enables us to continue to retain our own identity as a private label Utell member, while still benefiting from Utell’s global reach and network – enjoying the best of both worlds. Our strong partnership with both Pegasus and Utell, which we’ve maintained for half of our hotel ‘life’, allows us to focus on key tactics and strategies ranging from participation in important corporate negotiated bids and consortia programs, to capitalizing on new technologies so we stay ahead of the game” added LeBlanc.

Currently in its 30th year, Warwick operates a collection of more than 40 of the world’s finest four and five star hotels, resorts and spas worldwide. Offering affordable luxury in desirable locations throughout Europe, the United States, Asia, Africa and the South Pacific; Warwick properties include city center, beach, spa, golf, business and leisure hotels.

Ric Leutwyler, chief marketing officer for Pegasus and president of Utell Hotels & Resorts, said: “Warwick offers a top-tier tailored hotel offering, and we are proud to be able to provide them with an all encompassing business solution. Ranging from market-leading representation services to a powerful global commission processing program and booking engine capabilities, our relationship has evolved over the years to ensure that we remain focused on providing a unique value proposition, dedicated to achieving their goals.”
