Arad, Gorj and Galati were added to the list of those benefiting of funds
Ministry of Tourism of Romania to allocate 55.3m. euros for investments in tourism

The Executive power approved, through a governmental decision, modifying the April annex, which included the distribution of funds for tourism investments in 2009. Therefore, 3 counties were added to the list of those benefiting of funds, such as Arad, Gorj and Galati. The total value of the financing also increased, by EUR 2.5 million euros, up to 55.3 million euros.

In April this year, the Ministry of Tourism allocated 52.8 million euros tosupport the financing of 46 investment projects in tourism.

The Arad Local Council benefited of 781,395 euros for developing Neptun thermal pool, Gorj County Council received 93,023 euros to recover several heritage objects, while Galati County Council obtained 683,720 euros for leisure boats.

The most significant modification was in the case of Maramures county, receiving 7.95 million euros, compared to 5 million euros, as it was stipulated in the law regulation in April. Borsa Local Council obtained 4 million euros for the project Ski in Romania. Sf. Gheorghe locality was granted 976,744 euros to rehabilitate the ski structure in Sugas-Bai area. Nucet local county, Bihor county benefited of 500,000 euros for Ski in Romania project. However, as a result of this modification, several projects have been redistributed lower amounts than the ones allocated in April.

Therefore, Hunedoara county was granted only 3.7 million euros, considering that 6.60 million euros. were allocated in April. For the Ski in Romania project, Petrosani Local County obtained only 465,116 euros, while in April received 3.44 million euros.

Dambovita County Council received 46,511 euros for the project to develop and rehabilitate chalets, mountain refuges and mountain rescue settlements, upgrading the signage system on mountain trails, while in April benefited of 2.18 million euros.

In Cluj county financing dropped from 1.88 milion euros down to 837,209 euros, mainly due to the reduction of the amounts allocated for the Ski in Romania program, which envisaged Baisoara locality, from 1.46 million euros down to 53,488 euros.
