Privilege, Brussels Airlines’ frequent flyer programme, is being replaced with the Miles & More programme of the Lufthansa Group. Hundreds of thousands Privilege members agreed to being transferred and can now earn miles with even more airlines and fly to even more destinations.

Last summer the hundreds of thousands Privilege members (Brussels Airlines’ frequent flyer programme) have received a personal invitation to register for Miles & More. At the same time they were informed that the Privilege programme would cease to exist. Upon their approval their miles balance was transferred to Miles & More. Holders of a “Privilege Gold” or “Platinum” card received respectively a “Miles & More Frequent Traveller” and a “Miles & More Senator” status.

In future Brussels Airlines will represent Miles & More in Belgium for all Belgian members and partners. The new Miles & More loyalty cards have been sent to all members early October.

With Miles & More as new loyalty programme Brussels Airlines sets an important step forward in view of its entry into Star Alliance. This entry is planned for 9 December 2009.

Miles & More, Europe’s largest frequent flyer programme Miles & More is the loyalty programme of Lufthansa, SWISS, Adria Airways, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines and Luxair. Many valued hotel chains, car rental companies, tour operators and hotels are partner of the Miles & More programme. Worldwide, Miles & More counts about 18 million members and daily some 3.500 new Miles & More members sign up. Every second the card is being used somewhere in the world. Miles & More support for Belgian athletes

At an event in Brussels last Friday Brussels Airlines Miles & More loyalty cards were handed over to the many Belgian athletes who train for the Olympic Games of London. The athletes received Miles & More cards holding enough miles to fly them over the next coming months to the numerous European tournaments where they can qualify for the Olympics. This initiative was taken and implemented with the support of the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme.
