Leadership for Rs. 1500 Cr Company Receives Boost with RamNidhi Wasan as new CEO and Joy Ghosh as National Head of Sales and Marketing. Mirah Group, one of India’s leading business houses, is taking its ambitions to aggressively expand into the hospitality market a step further with the appointments of key management personnel. The Rs. 1500 cr company has appointed RamNidhi Wasan as CEO and Joy Ghosh as National Head of Marketing and Sales for its Hospitality Business. Through the strengthening of its top management, the group intends to systematically grow as a market leader in the hospitality sector. Prior to joining Mirah Group, Mr. Wasan, who brings with him over two decades of industry experience, held the position of COO - Development for Chalet Hotels – a group company of K Raheja Corp. Here he was responsible for spearheading the hotels expansion across the country. He has also worked with the prestigious Oberoi Hotels and was National Head for the Reliance Group’s Highway Hospitality Business.
Hilton Petaling Jaya has appointed Denis Vecchiato as its new Executive Chef, in a role that will have him overseeing the hotel’s overall kitchens and managing its 114 team members. Vecchiato will also be responsible for ensuring the hotel’s 2,000 daily guests continue to receive the high standards and level of culinary service that the hotel has been delivering for the past 25 years. Vecchiato, who began his culinary career 13 years ago in Venice, Italy, has worked in kitchens of luxury and upscale hotels across the world from Dubai and China to the Philippines and India. Trained at the Professional Institute ‘Elena Cornaro’ majoring in culinary and hotel management, Vecchiato remains as passionate about food today, as he was when he started his career 13 years ago, explaining “I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to be a part of a brand with a legacy and reputation, such as Hilton. For me, being a chef is about delivering high quality, exciting food in a consistent manner, something I feel I will be able to achieve and look forward to doing at Hilton.
The travel website Momondo (momondo.com) wins a price test on flight tickets conducted by the Consumer Council of Norway. The Consumer Council of Norway concludes that there are great savings to be made on flights, depending on which travel search engine one uses. The travel site Momondo.com turned out to be the best in a price test on tickets conducted by the Consumer Council of Norway. The test included a comparison of 24 different travel websites and overall Momondo found the cheapest tickets. The Consumer Council of Norway’s test showed that there are hundreds of Euros to be saved depending on which flight search engine the consumer uses. In their test report the council also gives useful consumer tips on how to save money on flights.
