3 services a week in both directions
Ryanair winter season takes off with new Edinburgh route to Brussels South
Tuesday, November 03, 2009
From 3 November Ryanair will start its new route from Edinburgh to Brussels South Charleroi Airport with 3 services a week in both directions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and a flight time of 1 only hour and 40 minutes.

Ryanair already flies from Dublin, Glasgow, Shannon and 45 other non-UK destinations to Brussels South Charleroi which is Belgium’s second airport, and is also known as its most friendly and most accessible.

A total of 1,160,255 passengers used the airport during the summer of 2009, up 42% compared with the same period in the previous year.

David Gering, Commercial Director of Aviation and Communications for Brussels South Charleroi Airport said “we are delighted at Ryanair’s expansion, and this new service will allow travellers from Scotland to come and discover our wonderful Belgian heritage and the many attractions that Brussels and Wallonia in the South of Belgium have to offer”.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport is located approximately 45 kms from the centre of Brussels. A half-hourly coach service links the airport to Brussels-Midi Station and frequent trains run from Charleroi’s nearby train station to the rest of Belgium.
