Friday, November 27, 2009

The company Tristar Investment Holdings intends to open Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg in 2011. The hotel will be based in House with Lions built upon the project of the architect Auguste de Montferrand. The hotel will include 183 rooms with total area 26,500 square metres, seven conference halls, a SPA centre, two fine dining restaurants, a cafe, and a bar. A larger part of work has already been accomplished. Total investments in the project are estimated at USD 200mn (EUR 133.65mn). The developer estimates the payback period at 10-15 years.

Experts suppose that deluxe-class hotels will be popular in the city. Four Seasons Hotel Lion Palace St. Petersburg is to become the first hotel of the class in the city. According to Colliers International, St. Petersburg needs seven-ten such hotels. Several facilities will be commissioned after 2011. For example, InterContinental Hotels Group intends to open the design boutique-hotel Indigo for 120 rooms in the historical part of the city in 2013.
