Low-cost carrier pins its trust on globally acting GSA

Monday, December 14, 2009
Air Arabia (Maroc) is working to enlarge its presence in Europe. After entering into the markets of Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland, the first and largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa is now eying growth in markets such as Belgium and Luxembourg. Starting 13 December 2009 the world’s leading aviation and tourism expert AVIAREPS will act as General Sales Agent (GSA) on behalf of the Moroccan airline. All sales, marketing and ticketing activities in the newly contracted countries will be carried out from AVIAREPS’ subsidiary in Brussels, headed up by General Manager Xander Scheffel.
Air Arabia (Maroc) currently offers four weekly flights between Brussels and Casablanca on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights take off from the Belgian capital at 8.05 pm. After a two-and-a-half hour journey travellers arrive at 10.25 pm in Casablanca.
On 28 March 2010, Air Arabia (Maroc) will provide three weekly flights during the summer season: Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The flight schedule stays the same: passengers depart at 8.05 pm from Belgium and land at 9.30 pm in Morocco. Customers can also take advantage of connecting flights to European destinations via Casablanca, like Marseilles, Paris, Lyon, Milan, Bologna, Barcelona, Istanbul or Amsterdam. The three brand-new Airbus 320 aircraft provide an optimal economy configuration: 32-inch seat pitch and all-inclusive luggage allowance.
