Nanyang Airport was named a BCBP “Platinum Airport” by IATA
New bar coding system test marketed at Nanyang Airport

China Southern Airlines, the newest member of worldwide SkyTeam Alliance and the largest airline in The People’s Republic of China is pleased to announce that Nanyang Airport, its own fully-invested and managed airport facility in Henan province has moved to 100% BCBP (Bar coded Boarding Pass) and was named a BCBP “Platinum Airport” by IATA.
According to Mr. Jerry Hu, Chief Information Officer, China Southern Airlines, the new terminal at Nanyang airport invested by China Southern Airlines, uses IATA standard BCBP technology for departure, security and boarding which greatly facilitates the analysis of customer information. Under the new system, customers can go through the whole boarding process in five minutes.
Mr. Hu said the platinum-status received from IATA illustrates China Southern Airlines’ position as one of the most innovative and operative airline companies in China.
