Thursday, December 17, 2009

In a landmark alliance announced a partnership has been formed between the Club Managers Association of Europe (CMAE), the European Golf Course Owners Association (EGCOA) and Hotelschool The Hague Performance Management BV in The Netherlands to develop online training courses for management staff across Europe and the Middle East.

This three-way collaboration will allow golf and club professionals access to workplace-based online learning, powered by Hotelschool The Hague, one of the world’s top universities for hotel management which already boasts Hilton, Starwood and Hotel Okura Company among its global clients.

Jerry Kilby, chief executive officer of the CMAE, commented: “This agreement marks an important step forward in the delivery of learning and development for club managers across Europe and the Middle East."

Lodewijk Klootwijk, chief executive of the EGCOA, stated: “By introducing an online learning platform, golf and club managers will be able to experience a flexible, focused and controllable platform of learning which synchronises with the ever-increasing demands of day-to-day work.

“Sharing collective knowledge via a virtual classroom approach is perfect for our widespread membership. It increases the ‘corporate feel’ through online discussions and meetings and helps build strong professional networks throughout Europe.”

Hotelschool The Hague Performance Management BV is an established and well-respected deliverer of learning solutions and prides itself on implementing cost and time-efficient material that can easily adapt to changing business conditions.

General manager of Hotelschool The Hague Performance Management BV, Jaap Funnekotter, said: “The beauty of online learning is that our client has absolute control over its corporate training, resulting in a consistent message delivered in each and every unit of the business.”

“Our programmes are responsive to every client’s needs and blend with the company’s business philosophy, current strategic goals, procedures and standards. All assignments are work-place and implementation related and this guarantees complete focus.”

More details about the specific online courses on offer will be announced in the near future, but initial enquiries should be directed to CMAE chief executive officer, Jerry Kilby, via email.
