Fondly known as the ‘silly season’ to many Irish people, Hotels.com decided to carry out a little research this holiday season and can now reveal a list of the silliest questions asked by tourists in Ireland and beyond to various tourist information or visitor centres.
Questions asked in Ireland
Tourist Information Centre in Cork has been asked:
- “Where is the leprechaun forest?”
- “Do you have St Patrick’s day here in Ireland as well?”
- “Do you guys ever say top of the morning to you?”
Tourist Information Centre in Kerry has been asked
- “I can't believe you have cellphones (mobile phones) over here!”
- “Why don't you take dollars?”
- “Does everyone speak English in this office?”
Tourist Information Centre in Galway has been asked:
- “Where are the mother of all cliffs?” (Referring to the Cliffs of Moher)
- “Where can I find myself a leepreeshaun?” (Referring to a Leprechaun)
