A luggage collection for adventure travelers
Briggs & Riley Travelware introduces BRX
Friday, January 22, 2010
Briggs & Riley Travelware, the favored brand of business and leisure travelers, is pleased to announce the launch of BRX, a high-performance luggage collection for the adventure traveler. Through a combination of technical materials and advanced engineering, the new BRX collection provides a lightweight solution with extreme performance capabilities in a refined, modern aesthetic. The 7-piece collection is made up of wheeled carry-ons, large uprights, duffles and a backpack. It will be available in earthy Slate, Ocean and Amber colors.

BRX sports a 10-20% weight reduction compared to top selling similar bags. Briggs & Riley’s proprietary material management system employs multiple fabrics to reinforce areas of abrasion and stress while reducing weight in non-critical areas. Other key features of the BRX collection include: large cushioned handles for easy gripping, an outside handle system on wheeled styles for flat packing, and the use of technical grade hardware for maximum durability and reliability. All Briggs & Riley products, including the new BRX collection, are backed by the industry-leading lifetime performance guarantee that even covers damage caused by airlines or (an elephant on safari).

The introduction of BRX into the outdoor retail market marks new territory for Briggs & Riley, who for nearly 20 years has showcased collections at specialty luggage retailers. “As the first luggage-only high end brand in the outdoor channel, we’re making a commitment to bring the best combination of function and performance to the adventure traveler with BRX,” said Jim Lahren, Vice President of Marketing at Briggs & Riley. Furthered Tim McGuire, Director of Outdoor Retail, “BRX reflects our understanding of the adventure customer and our commitment to give them a highly functional bag that will withstand the most grueling travel conditions.”
