Travel inspiration from new online city guides
Inside information on 50 Lufthansa destinations worldwide at lufthansa.com
Friday, January 29, 2010

What’s the weather like in Istanbul? What’s on the must agenda in Vienna? Where to find the best restaurants and hottest bars in San Francisco? These and a host of other tips for exploring 50 destinations in Lufthansa’s global network are available to travel-happy passengers at lufthansa.com under “Information and Service > Travel reports and places of interest”. Most useful are the Lufthansa Highlights: Each month, Lufthansa showcases five selected cities in greater detail, focusing on individual themes like fashion design in Switzerland, designer cafes in Milan or people living between fantasy and tradition in Tokyo.

Aside from informative tips on the cultural and night life at a passenger’s destination, the city guides contain extensive directions on where to shop. To help passengers gen up for their journey, videos are available to selected cities as are weather reports and a currency converter as well as general information on countries and their people together with the mandatory entry requirements. Under “Airport Information”, passengers can quickly find their way around with a detailed map and directions on arrival. Besides car rentals and hotel accommodation, information is on tap on local public transport, carparking, accessibility and airport retail outlets. Passengers can also print out all the information as a pocket travel guide during their journey.
