Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announces the opening of The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport, a sophisticated, new-build hotel in Richmond, B.C. owned and managed by Wall Financial Corporation. The hotel inspires personal renewal with the help of the Westin brand's signature amenities, fine dining and instinctive service.

The Westin Wall Centre is ideally situated less than four km from Vancouver International Airport, within a five minute walk to Yaohan Centre and a 20 minute Skytrain ride to downtown Vancouver. Minutes from downtown Richmond, the new hotel also offers easy access to the Aberdeen Centre, River Rock Casino and Royal Canadian College as well as the nearby Richmond Olympic Oval.

"The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport promises to invigorate the area with its signature blend of sophistication and rejuvenation," said Nancy London, Vice President, Westin Hotels & Resorts. "With new visitors flocking to this area in the coming months and beyond, we invite them to indulge in the sensory-rich Westin experience, designed to send guests home feeling even better than when they arrived."

The hotel's 176 guest rooms and eight unique suites all feature the iconic Westin Heavenly Bed(R), a luxurious ensemble including a cozy down blanket and five sumptuous pillows and a 32 inch High Definition Flatscreen TV. In-room, high-speed Internet access, dual line cordless telephones and an ergonomic work space will offer business travelers convenience and productivity in an ultra-comfortable setting.

The hotel incorporates green elements into the design and function. A focus of the design is a "Living Wall" that incorporates 360 living panels consisting of more than 9,000 native plants, which assist in irrigation. The hotel also has a Green Roof system with a large landscaped area consisting of drought tolerant sedum and ornamental grass with long curved arches to emulate the flight paths and movements of planes from the nearby airport.

"As the eyes of the world get ready to focus on the Vancouver area, we are delighted to introduce the Westin brand to Richmond," said Jeff Graham, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. "The Westin brand's emphasis on renewal and relaxation combined with the hotel's sophisticated decor and refreshing amenities will appeal to returning visitors to the area and those coming for the first time."

Perfect for hosting any event or meeting, The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport offers more than 9,900 square feet of functional meeting space. The 4,700 sq ft ballroom is equipped with all the latest technology for your meeting needs and access to an outdoor terrace and garden area.

Additional amenities include an indoor heated pool, 24-hour business centre, the Westin WORKOUT(R) gym, valet parking and The Apron, offering guests contemporary Pacific Northwest cuisine in the dining room or intimate lounge.
