Due to be unveiled in March
Chester & Cheshire warm delegates with welcome packs
Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Visit Chester & Cheshire is set to launch its new Delegate Welcome Pack for corporates visiting the destination on conference and event business. Due to be unveiled in March, the packs are designed to provide useful information and advice to delegates new to the destination whilst also enticing them back to the region as a leisure visitor.

Each pack will comprise a greeting letter specific to each individual event, a waterproof map of the city, a feedback questionnaire with branded chocolate, a bookmark, and a postcard featuring key Cheshire destinations for delegates to send to friends and family whilst away from home.

Key to its success, the packs will work to promote Visit Chester & Cheshire’s website, meetinchesterandcheshire.com/welcome where special offers will be available to encourage delegates to return to the destination at a later date.

Chris Brown, CEO of Visit Chester & Cheshire comments: “The new Delegate Welcome Packs are currently in the final stages of completion and we’re really looking forward to its launch in March. We’re positive that they will not only add to the overall experience of being a Cheshire delegate, but also have a great impact in promoting the wider destination”.

The launch will coincide with the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools conference, set to take place on 4th - 6th March 2010 at the Queen hotel, Chester. The event will see 200 delegates, all of which will receive a welcome pack.

Simon Williams, General Manager at the Queen hotel, Chester comments: “We’re really excited to be the first venue to distribute Visit Cheshire & Cheshire’s welcome packs. As such, we look forward to seeing the delegates responses to them and to see them becoming a vital tool for every corporate visiting the region”.

The packs will be distributed through partner venues and hotels, as well as through Visit Chester & Cheshire’s welcome team at special desks within the venues.
