Twice a week from Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport
Szczecin brought closer with Ryanair
Thursday, March 04, 2010

From 21 May, the budget airline will fly twice a week to the north-western Polish city of Szczecin from Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport. And with flights expected to start from as little as £20 one way, a trip to Poland is sure to be kind on your pocket.

A candidate city to be the European Capital of Culture in 2016, Szczecin is Poland’s seventh largest city and the regional capital of Western Pomerania – the country’s top sea and sun destination. Offering visitors a whole host of attractions from sandy beaches and national parks, to bustling towns and a rich, varied history, Western Pomerania is a hit with Poles and tourists alike.

Acting Director of the Polish National Tourist Office Bogdan Becla said: “Szczecin is well worth a visit and with Ryanair it’s easier than ever to take a trip to Poland, whether it’s for a two-week holiday or weekend break – and it won’t break the bank.

“Szczecin is a wonderfully unique city and the Western Pomerania region is an outdoor lovers’ paradise. The area boasts the Pomeranian Lake District, over 120 miles of Baltic coastline and seaside towns and dozens of other attractions.

"And as well as being a candidate city to become the European Capital of Culture in 2016, it’ll be a host city for the European Football Championships in 2012.”
