The Leela Palace Kempinski, Udaipur
ESPA launches in India for the first time
Thursday, March 04, 2010

From February 2010, leading luxury spa brand, ESPA launches into the stunning new Leela Palace Kempinski Udaipur. With a tented ESPA spa, this destination will offer the most sumptuous spa experience. Udaipur, known as the ‘Venice of the East’ is home to Rajasthan’s most exquisite lakes and scenery.

This contemporary yet traditional new luxury hotel and spa has been designed by renowned architect Bill Bensley and noted interior designer, Jeffrey Wilkes, who together have infused the art and architecture of Rajasthan throughout the property.

Situated in the heart of the historic city, The Leela Palace Kempinski Udaipur sits perched on the banks of Lake Pichola. Coined as the ‘Jewel by the Lake’, this opulent 80 room hotel offers the perfect setting for indulgent relaxation; a destination that caters for the most discerning of travellers.

The hotel is a window to the ancient and modern world, studded with splendour, beauty and decadence. Enjoy majestic architecture, lavish hospitality and the exclusive essence of ESPA.

The ESPA spa is one of the hotel’s most stunning features, and is divided into two locations; The Lake Spa and the Haveli Spa.

The Lake Spa is made up of impressive Rajasthan style tents, including an enchanting Couples Suite and two Royal Palace Spa Suites, each featuring a private pool and garden.  A series of paths meander through the Spa gardens, leading guests to their tents which are designed to offer complete privacy and treatment indulgence. Each tent is dressed with beautiful crystal chandeliers, bespoke furniture and swathes of rich fabric – the perfect setting for a royal treatment.

The Haveli Spa is a historic building in origin, converted to a soothing spa reception offering a warm arrival for guests.  The welcome lounge is a soft, calm environment, helping you to unwind prior to experiencing the holistic and deeply therapeutic ESPA Treatments in one of the five single treatment tents.  The male and female relaxation rooms provide a comfortable, informal space with lavish, regal furnishings – the perfect tranquil setting to step into after a spa experience. Enjoy a healthy spa lunch on the roof terrace whilst taking in the spectacular views of the of the City Palace and lake beyond.

Every ESPA treatment is a totally personal, luxurious and caring experience, with treatments reflecting a fusion of the latest scientific advances, with Ayurvedic and European therapies. The exceptionally natural, high quality skincare products include anti-stress oils, revitalising seaweeds and cleansing muds; all achieving outstanding results to restore balance and equilibrium to mind and body.
