Hilton Worldwide has recently opened the Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri, in India. The 228 guest room property marks the arrival of the first and only internationally branded full service, upscale property in West Delhi.

Martin Rinck, President – Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide, commented, “This hotel opening is significant for Hilton Worldwide. Not only is the Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri a stunning new upscale hotel in our portfolio, but it also marks the continuation of the Hilton brand expansion in India, a critically important growth market for us, with its powerful social and economic dynamics, and an ever burgeoning travel demand. In addition, India will prove to be a critical future source market for international travel.”

The hotel is located approximately 30 minutes’ drive from central Delhi, and is strategically close to the International and Domestic airports. At the hotel’s doorstep is the Janakpuri West Metro station, providing easy access to the central business district including Connaught Place and Gurgaon. West Delhi is home to an affluent residential part of the city, as well as a significant small to medium enterprise business community.

The ten storey Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri comprises 228 rooms including 11 suites. The hotel’s 65 Executive and Executive Plus rooms start from 33 sq m and are among the city’s largest.

“The Hilton brand is ranked in among the Top 5 international hotel brands in the country and we aim to become the first choice of travelers here,” Dave Horton, Global Head, Hilton Hotels brand, said. “Hilton is the leader in global hospitality and we are excited to offer signature Hilton style and authentic hospitality in New Delhi with this distinct hotel.”

For business travelers looking for an enhanced level of service and convenience, the Executive Floor Lounge enables a quick and private check-in/-out service, breakfast, complimentary refreshments served throughout the day, as well as a range of meeting rooms and high speed Internet access to facilitate business needs.

The hotel also has a 900 sqm Grand Ballroom, positioning it among the largest event and conference facilities in New Delhi. Equipped with the latest technology and Hilton’s extensive expertise in meetings, the Hilton New Delhi / Janakpuri will provide an exceptional venue for events, social occasions and glamorous weddings.

All guest rooms feature a large working desk, an adjustable ergonomic chair, a state-of-the-art entertainment system, high–definition interactive flat panel televisions as well as an expansive Italian marble bathroom equipped with a rain shower, and Slumber beds designed for comfort. The hotel also features a fully equipped Hilton Fitness by Precor fitness center and spa and outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel’s unique food and beverage offerings and wedding banquet capabilities aim to entice the local community and guests with an array of new dining and entertainment options within the neighborhood.

Situated off the hotel’s spectacular lobby, Twenty-9 is the all day dining restaurant with an open, interactive kitchen serving Mediterranean, Asian and local favourites. Guests can also indulge in the art of drinking tea at By The Way, a tea house that offers a fine selection of teas and coffees from the tea estates of India and Sri Lanka. For whisky-lovers, a destination bar called Malt & Co blends contemporary design with a wide choice of Malt whiskies from all over the world.

Signature restaurants planned to open in the next few months are set to revolutionalise the local dining scene. Concepts will include a Chinese Sichuan and Cantonese restaurant, an Italian trattoria and a Mughlai and Kashmiri fine dining restaurant, all created with stylish interiors and an authentic ambience. A bespoke patisserie will offer intricately designed chocolates and desserts, created by one of the country’s most renowned pastry chefs. A poolside bar featuring a rooftop view of Janakpuri will ensure meeting receptions with a difference, or provide a relaxed way for guests to unwind after a busy day.
