ΗBA has an exciting year ahead, with over 17 new projects openings worldwide, the Chinese Year of the Tiger will reveal some of the most esteemed and highly coveted interiors in the world.

Asia accounts for just over half of all hospitality industry projects being completed by the global design leaders, with three projects alone in Shanghai, just in time for Shanghai World Expo later this year.

HBA is putting the finishing touches on The Fairmont Peace Hotel, a much awaited refurbishment of the city’s iconic Peace Hotel, as well as Waldorf Astoria Shanghai, which will be the first Waldorf Astoria in Asia, and boutique hotel Indigo Shanghai.

Elsewhere in China, the Westin Tianjin is newly opened, and both the China World Trade Center Beijing and Four Seasons Guangzhou near completion.

Other Asian projects scheduled for 2010 completion include the keenly awaited Marina Bay Sands, which is set to become a premier entertainment destination, the Siam Kempinski Bangkok which will showcase contemporary Thai design and InterContinental Hanoi, Vietnam.

HBA is also busy in the Middle East, working on the Ritz-Carlton Dubai and Amethyst Lounge, Beirut, as well as two international hotels in Cairo, Nile City Fairmont on the banks off the famed Nile River and Oberoi Cairo in the shadow of the Pyramids.

In Russia, Federation Tower Moscow is a landmark project, and the firm is also renovating the famous Churchill Bar in London.

On the other side of the Atlantic, HBA is putting finishing touches to Scrub Island Resort, Tortola in the Caribbean and the Trump Ocean Club Hotel in Panama.
