Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Heidi Krause as controller for Makena Beach & Golf Resort, located on Maui’s southern shore. Kelly Lewis, Benchmark’s general manager at the resort, made the announcement. Heidi Krause was most recently controller for The Chattanoogan, Benchmark Hospitality’s urban resort located in the heart of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Since January of this year, Ms. Krause also served as task force leader in Accounting for Makena Beach & Golf Resort. Previous to joining Benchmark Hospitality International, Ms. Krause was employed by Wyndham Hotels & Resorts for ten years. While there, she served in positions of increasing responsibility within Financial Accounting, culminating in her position as director of financial services for The St. Anthony, A Wyndham Historic Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. During her tenure with the company, she held various roles within the accounting departments of hotels in San Antonio, New Orleans, Denver and Phoenix. She began her hospitality career as food and beverage manager for the Wyndham Garden Hotel of Chandler, Arizona.

Gabon Airlines is positioning itself as a Pan African and International airline. Gabon Airlines is currently operating from Libreville:  France (Paris & Marseille), Congo (Pointe Noire), South Africa (Johannesburg), & Gabon (Port Gentil).

Singex Group announces the appointment of Aloysius Arlando as Chief Executive Officer of its flagship company, Singex Venues Pte Ltd, in which role he will oversee the operations of Singex Group. Mr Arlando, 42, will assume his post on Thursday, 1 April 2010. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the tourism and MICE business, and the government sector, having built a career that spans 17 years in these areas. In particular, through his recent appointments as Assistant Chief Executive (Business Travel & MICE) of Singapore Tourism Board (STB), and as Executive Director of APEC Organising Committee, Ministry of Trade & Industry, he has been instrumental in strengthening Singapore’s MICE business and global profile. Prior to these roles, Mr Arlando held key appointments in STB as its Regional Director for ASEAN markets and Director of Business Travel & MICE. He also served for two-and-a-half years in the Ministry of Manpower, where he was responsible for the promotion of lifelong learning and workforce development programmes.
