Food&HotelAsia 2010 to attract 38,000 visitors
Record-breaking hospitality industry event to held in at Singapore Expo
Thursday, April 15, 2010

An unprecedented number of visitors, 38,000 to be exact, is expected to come through the doors of Singapore Expo from 20–23 April 2010, when Singapore’s largest convention and exhibition centre is once again the venue of choice for the Asia’s most highly regarded international food and hospitality trade event, Food&HotelAsia (FHA) 2010.

As a key and one of the most adaptable venue partners in Asia, Expo has played host to countless international dignitaries and major events which required flexible space to expand seamlessly under the onevenue one-roof concept. The 17th edition of FHA is a prime example that demonstrates Expo’s versatility. FHA2010 will be held in Halls 2 to 9, taking up over 80,000 sqm of space in total, easily making it the largest trade exhibition ever held at Expo. This expansion of at least 15,000 sqm from its 2008 show is to accommodate the larger contingent of 2,800 exhibitors from over 70 countries who are here to offer solutions to the mounting needs of the food and hospitality sectors in Asia Pacific. Expo has responded to this surging industry trend by specially upgrading its capabilities, including the trenching facilities of its Halls 7 to 9, to enable the success of FHA 2010.

The four-day event not only encompasses specialised exhibitions, namely, FoodAsia, HotelAsia,
Bakery&Pastry, HospitalityStyleAsia and HospitalityTechnology, but also a string of conferences, seminars and workshops including the Food Safety Forum, HFTP Asian Finance & Technology Conference as well as Asian Club Management Conference. To top it off, reputable chefs from all across Asia will gather to showcase their creativity and culinary skills in prestigious competitions such as the Asian Pastry Cup, Asia Barista Championship, FHA Culinary Challenge and WSA Wine Challenge.

Mr Chandran Nair, Deputy General Manager of Singex Venues Pte Ltd, the managing company of Expo, says, “Expo goes beyond merely providing the multi-purpose space for international trade events. Our Concierge, Event Services, Facilities and Operations teams are on hand to ensure that everything works in clockwork precision at FHA 2010. We certainly look forward to yet another winning edition for the FHA organiser.”
