EmQuest, the travel distribution division of Emirates Airline, manages a large network of brands, content and service offerings that are designed to meet the unique and specific needs of all levels of players within the travel industry.
EmQuest is participating at the ATM taking place from 4-7 May 2010, where it is exhibiting new enhanced product offerings from Sabre, Videcom and various other partners.
“Last year has been very exciting for us. We have more than doubled Sabre's market share. Our goal continues to be to provide innovative solutions to travel agents. By integrating some powerful tools into our unique offering, we give them the competitive advantages and efficiencies in their business to service their clients better. For example, Sabre's TSDS product came in very useful during the recent volcanic ash disruption to help manage their customers overseas & automatically rebook their itinerary to get them home safely. W are also excited about the new enhanced Sabre desktop that supports multi-source and enables the travel agent & EmQuest to integrate connectivity to content that GDS traditionally do not offer,” says Naz Nizari, senior vice president, EmQuest.
“There is a growing requirement today to offer sophisticated technology to the travel industry. I am proud to say that through our long experience in this field and in this region, we have the best suite of local and global solutions to offer. Some of these unique offerings are on display at the ATM, & the rest will be rolled out before the end of the year,” Nizari adds.
Among the new products and enhancements to existing products are:
- Rail travel in India: Indian Rail is among one of the largest rail networks in the world. Traditionally, this has been booked through offline channels, but at this ATM, EmQuest is proud to announce an online interface that allows travel agents access to real-time seat availability & the ability to book, manage & confirm tickets from their offices. With around 38.7 million bookings processed in 2008-09, this provides an additional revenue opportunity for agents. This will be a great benefit to the large customer base interested in traveling by rail in India.
- Sabre Virtually There: Agents can send clients their itineraries, co-branded with their agency logo, contact information and marketing message, without using regular mail. On-the-go clients can access their information anytime, anywhere using any web-enabled mobile device. This provides clients with instant access to the most current travel data, reducing those last-minute calls.
- Traveler Security and Data Suite (TSDS) is a reporting tool that can generate several different reports ranging from Airline Market Share to Carbon Emissions Reports. TSDS also helps facilitate instant mass communication with clients. In an emergency, such as the recent volcanic ash crisis, authorized agents can quickly search their clients’ traveller reservation data and locate travellers worldwide. Agents can advise clients about cancelled flights and make itinerary changes. Clients who have plans to travel to volatile or disrupted areas in the future can be quickly identified, so that travel arrangements can be altered. TSDS also sends alerts when key personnel are all booked on the same flight, so that VIPs can be rescheduled on different flights.
- NetCheck is a low-cost carrier booking tool. It makes it easy to search both Sabre Travel Network and the web using a single command. Low-cost airlines such as Air Arabia and jetBlue have now been added to the distribution systems.
- Graphical Workflow Solution: MySabre has been upgraded with a new platform, focusing on delivering a greater experience through optimised technology. Improved interaction between multiple applications and web pages enables movement between MySabre sessions and web pages without having to spend time refreshing content.
- GetThere: GetThere is a leading online travel procurement solution.
